According to Bangladesh's Daily Star May 21st, PaCT research by international financial institutions shows that Bangladesh can save 22 billion liters of water a year, reduce 18 billion litres of sewage and 46 thousand tons of greenhouse gas emissions, such as Bangladesh's adoption of advanced environmental technology.

The agency will set up a $200 million fund to help Bangladesh textile mills, dyestuff factories and laundry factories to finance the installation of environmental protection production equipment.

The clothing manufacturers and Exporters Association said that Bangladesh now has 85 LEED (energy and environmental design leaders) certified green clothing enterprises, of which 23 are rated platinum and 6 are among the best in the world.
